Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
This page provides answers to common questions about our training courses.
Please check here first if you have any questions.
Getting started
-
Access is available to Rigaku customers who have purchased eligible instruments and are located where they were originally installed. Authorization is based on the instrument's serial number and the postal code where it is installed.
-
You’ll need two pieces of information:
- Your instrument’s serial number, which is on a silver sticker placed on the back or side of the instrument
- The postal code of the location where the instrument is installed
-
If your access credentials aren’t working, please contact the portal administrator using the support form. You will need the serial number, postal code, and your contact information when submitting the form.
-
Access typically begins once your instrument is delivered and installed. If you require early access (e.g., for planning or onboarding), contact us at info-eln@rigaku.co.jp to discuss options.
-
Access is tied to the instrument, not the individual. If you are part of the lab where the instrument is installed, you can request access by providing the serial number and postal code.
Navigating the portal
-
No. While we recommend you take a course sequentially, it is not required to complete a course.
-
While you can resume a course you started earlier, you need to note where you stopped the last time because your individual progress is not saved in the portal.
-
Once you’ve watched all the lessons and passed the final exam, you will be notified by email about the results of the exam. You need to pass the final exam to complete a course and receive a digital certification.
-
Your course completion certificate is sent to you by email. Please contact us at info-eln@rigaku.co.jp if you have lost your certificate and need it to be reissued.
Sharing and reuse

No. Courses are self-paced and available for the lifetime of the instrument.
Troubleshooting
-
Check if your instrument is at the original installation location and its postal code has not changed. If you believe there’s an error, reach out to the portal admin at info-eln@rigaku.co.jp.
-
Try switching browsers (Chrome or Firefox is recommended), clearing your cache, or checking your internet connection. If the problem persists, contact support at info-eln@rigaku.co.jp with a screenshot or error message.
